Lalocura - Tobasiche 2022 Batch 02

Of the many varietals of Agave karwinskii endemic to Santa Catarina Minas, none is more plentiful than tobasiche. With their skinny piñas and long stalks, the plants offer a high acid to sugar ratio that produces easily identifiable woody flavors and aromas.

The tobasiches used in this batch were part of a reforestation effort in the hills above Santa Catarina Minas, where Lalo reintroduced many plants that would grow and reproduce in the “wild.” and act as a cornerstone for a larger project to restore the area’s ecology.
